We felt very honoured to have Ms Mala Tribich visit the school. Ms Tribich was in Ravensbruck and Bergen-Belsen during WWII, and shared some of her experiences with older pupils. These memories were quite shocking to us, and the feelings they raised were clearly obvious in the silence and respect the pupils accorded Ms Tribich.
Prior to Mrs Tribich’s visit the pupils were given a workshop on the type of persons to be targeted in the Holocaust, including some Christian denominations, which had a very personal bearing for the pupils. of significant interest were details of community members who suffered during the time of the Holocaust.
