On the first day of term Y3-11 spent 2 hours each absorbing various skills needed to support in the event of a medical emergency.

Amongst other things pupils learnt how to resuscitate someone who was not breathing, they learnt how to bandage wounds and injuries, and they learnt how to put someone into the recovery position.

Much skill was shown in earning these useful attributes, and some pupils enjoyed wearing the results of their session for the remainder of the day; school bus drivers were greeted with a crop of walking wounded!

We are very grateful to British Heart Foundation for the supply of the CPR dummies.
