Two charities have been helped by FSCC pupils and school community this term – Macmillan Cancer Research, and Jimmy’s Homeless, a local Cambridge charity.

The whole school has worked to support Macmillan, with a cake stall in November

and the supply of refreshments at the end of term performance

The total raised is over £450 at the cake stall, and a further sum yet to be counted from the recent performance.

Each year group in the secondary school ran a little scheme of their own to support Jimmy’s; shoe-boxes filled with toiletries & small comfort items, a food mile,

re-usable satchel bags with necessities,

Krispy Kreme sale

and a sponsored obstacle race

The total raised is £386.39 plus an estimated £400-£500 worth of dry goods.

The school is very grateful to all the supportive parents and community members who helped raise these fantastic sums.
