The Campus has an excellent range of facilities that support the curriculum and encourage pupils to bring out their best. The school is set in renovated farm buildings of clunch construction, and retains various original features, such as the old barn wooden beams.
The school has a purpose built Science Laboratory which has recently been updated:
excellent ICT facilities, a spacious Library (sited in the old cow byre where the arched stone entrances are still visible), and, since February 2016 half-term, an SDL suite (Self Directed Learning).
We are very thrilled with this dedicated SDL area, and the pupils enjoy working in it immensely. There is a hardworking, thriving atmosphere, with pupils moving around the suite with purpose:
Three classrooms are set up with VC (Video Conferencing) facilities and we have a Technology block with Workshop, Textiles Room and Music Room.
The primary school has its own bespoke unit with three large classrooms and an SDL room, situated round a central hall/library area.
A new Hall was also erected over the February 16 half-term – a semi-permanent structure which is used for a multitude of uses: assemblies, choir & music lessons, PE, meal times, wet breaks, etc.
During the summer holidays of 2016 the KS3 pupils planned and excuted the transformation of a classroom into an SDL working area – with great success.
The grounds are secluded and generous, incorporating a playing field and playground, including a log trim trail that provides hours of entertainment in various ways.
